Identity Verification Refused. Why?

There are multiple reasons why the documents you submitted for the User Verification were refused.


These include 4 main reasons:


1. Incorrect Documents Submitted:

The document you submitted is not accepted.


2. Poor quality of the submitted document:

  • Picture of person is altered
  • Document is partially covered
  • Document is blurred
  • Glare on photo or photo is too dark
  • Document is damaged


3. Names do not match

Your first name (as registered on Vettted.com) does not match the first name from your submitted document

Your last name (as registered on Vettted.com) does not match the last name from your submitted document


4. Underaged and Expired Documents

  • Document owner is under the age of 18 years old
  • Document has expired (please make sure to submit an up-to-date document)

Incorrect Documents Submitted

The most common reason why your User Verification might have been refused is that for the country you're in, the documents you submitted aren't accepted by our payment processor (MangoPay).

Poor Quality of the Submitted Document

You want to make sure the document you submit is up to standards.


This means that both the picture you take, as well as the document itself need to be in good shape.


The main reasons why your document was refused are:

  • Picture of person is altered
  • Document is partially covered
  • Document is blurred
  • Glare on photo or photo is too dark
  • Document is damaged

Names Do Not Match

Your first and/or last names as registered on Vettted.com, do not match the ones on the document you submitted.


If this is the case, please email [email protected] and we will update your first and/or last name to match the ones on your document.


Underaged and Expired Documents

If you're under 18 years old or submitted an expired document, your KYC will get refused.


Please make sure you're over the age of 18, and that you submit a valid document.


How to submit my User Verification documents again?

To submit new User Verification documents again, go to the User Verification tab on your setting page.
